Dear Friends of Caroline Center,
The SSND foundresses of our congregation believed that if you educate a woman you educate a society. That belief is at the heart of our work here, and as we end our twelfth year the truth of this belief is evident. As you will see from the stories in this annual report, the effects of Caroline Center do not end when a woman graduates and gets a job. For some, it ripples out to job advancement, more schooling, a better life. For others it may mean that a daughter, a mother, or a good friend sees the success of a graduate and decides to sign up for our program.
And the ripples don’t just stop with the women. Volunteers bring other volunteers, Board members spread the word to friends and co-workers, employers tell their peers at other organizations, and the circles keep growing outward.
This past year, while challenging in many ways, has shown us how the training a woman receives at Caroline Center can, like a single pebble dropped into a pool of water, ripple out to her family, her workplace, her community.
You, our friends and benefactors, are a huge part of our “ripple effect”. Without your support we truly could not do what we do. For however you touched our lives this past year, please know how very grateful we are.
